The Corbett Foundation invites applications for the following project vacancies.

1. Project Associate (Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement)

Essential Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Wildlife Science, Life Science, Environmental Sciences, Biodiversity, Botany, Zoology, or allied disciplines with a minimum of three years of research experience in the relevant field.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of wildlife conservation, with a special focus on interventions for mitigating human-wildlife conflict.

• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

• Passion for wildlife conservation, community development, and a strong belief in human-wildlife coexistence.

• Ability to conduct on-field research and proficiency in software used for ecological and social research.

• Knowledge of conducting community surveys, bird surveys, camera-trapping, and capacity-building training programs.

• Excellent report writing and communication skills in English; fluency in spoken Hindi is essential.

• Proficiency in report writing and proposal development.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office.

• The incumbent should be hardworking and willing to work in remote locations.

2. Awareness/Capacity Building Officer

Essential Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in social sciences, environmental/wildlife/natural resource management, or related fields. Individuals with a Bachelor of Education (BEd) are also encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Two years of experience in conducting awareness programs in schools, social work, or community engagement.

• Experience working on biodiversity conservation-related projects.

• Liaising with school management and village representatives to plan and conduct educational and awareness programs.

• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

• Excellent report writing and communication skills in English; fluency in spoken Hindi is required.

• Proficiency in computers (MS Office) is essential.

• The incumbent should be hardworking and willing to work in remote locations.

3. Research Officer (Ecology)

Essential Qualifications:

Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Life Science/Environmental sciences/ Biodiversity/ Botany/ Zoology with minimum 60% marks in graduate and post-graduate level and research experience in the relevant field.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Passion for wildlife conservation, community development, and a strong belief in human-wildlife coexistence.

• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

• Willingness to be part of a research team located in remote, isolated forest areas.

• Commitment to completing the research project and a dedication to learning new field research techniques.

• Knowledge of conducting community surveys, bird surveys, camera-trapping, and capacity-building training programs.

• Excellent report writing and communication skills in English; fluency in spoken Hindi is essential.

• Proficiency in computers (MS Office) is necessary.

• The incumbent should be hardworking and willing to work in remote locations.

Rules & Regulations:

  • The interns will be governed as per the rules and regulations set up by the Corbett Foundation (TCF) and its management.
  • After completion of the assignment, the intern must submit a detailed report to TCF of the work done during internship.
  • The Corbett Foundation will issue a Certificate of Completion only after asessment of the work done and report submission.
  • The interns will be briefed about which project they will be working for after selection.
  • The interns may or may not be paid a stipend during the duration of the internship.
  • Food and accomodation will be provided either free or at a nominal charge.
  • All interns shall not hold The Corbett Foundation or its management, nominees, associates responsible for any mishaps including loss of lives, limbs and any belongings or such unfortunate incidents that may take place during the course of the internship. Please be advised to take up appropriate travel/personal accisdent insurance policies.
